Despite the overwhelming amount of opportunity and abundance before us, most people find themselves in a state of perpetual bad luck. They lose out on opportunities and feel closed off from their true potential.
How do you ruthlessly position your Self so that you always come out the victor?
Winning in life with any kind of consistency requires above all else a powerful force of will. If you are not ready to direct your energy and demand what you want, what makes you think life will just hand it to you?
We’re here to explore the esoteric framework required to establish your Self as a dominant force within your own life. Through a deeper degree of self-reflection and spatial awareness, anyone can win regardless of the so-called odds.
Liquid Luck
The concept of luck has always fascinated us. It’s a common trope that is found in abundance not only in popular entertainment, but even within the deeply held religious beliefs of millions of people all over the world.
There’s a sublime comfort in the idea that for no reason at all, you can get “lucky.” That fortune will favor you out of pure chance or the whims of the gods.
The 6th installment of the Harry Potter series included a potion known as Felix Felicis, or Liquid Luck. Anyone who drank the potion would possess incredible luck for a short period of time.
It is inferred that the potion itself doesn’t actually do anything magickal per se, it merely improves one’s confidence. Thus, armed with this greater confidence, the drinker of the potion generates his or her own luck by continuously saying and doing the right thing in any given situation.
Simplistic as it may be, this is a fairly accurate representation of how “luck” actually works. Although energy moves in mysterious ways and not all parameters of our surroundings are under our total control, you can win time and time again by simply dominating a space with your energy.
Ineffectual Energy = Frustration
A lack of luck in life is usually the result of a weak aura and poor energy management.
The less you dominate the space you reside in, the more things that happen to you instead of for you.
You believe the government is out to get you, that you have crossed God, or that some amorphous force just wants to see you downtrodden and depressed. Misfortune follows you, almost inexplicably.
These are symptoms of energy mismanagement. Bad luck. Spiritual weakness.
It’s a very real thing and the reality is, it afflicts most people to some degree. Control over one’s space and the possession of a strong will are rare traits.
Background Characters
If you are unlucky in life you may feel as though you are an NPC, or at the mercy of forces outside of your control.
This is how people develop a resentment not only toward themselves, but for life itself.
The perpetually angry types.
If you cannot control your own space, frustration is the inevitable result. It is not in our nature, as divine sparks of consciousness, to lack control. It goes against the core of our being and purpose, which is to Create.
To create you must develop the ability to impose your will upon your surroundings.
If you are familiar with spiritual concepts this idea may be somewhat at odds with what you have heard before. Many spiritual teachings emphasize a “go with the flow” approach to life, and that is accurate in the proper context. Fighting against the tides of energy will get you nowhere.
Enacting your will can be likened to your actions as you are carried on the tide. Are you actively swimming with the current? Are you riding the wave or getting dragged under it? There is a massive distinction here.
Most, when confronted with a particular set of events, will allow themselves to be puppetmastered into irrelevancy. Like a toy they are tossed all about, their ability to choose taken from them, any sense of autonomy robbed.
Some go days or even weeks at a time without making a significant contribution to their own lifescape. They would rather others paint their picture for them rather than pick up the brush themselves.
Regret, anxiety, and deep sorrow set in - of course - because in this state you are not living to your potential. You are not living at all. You have become a background character, a faceless fixture to be forgotten.
To win in life you must shrug off this background character persona. You can’t be comfortable with mediocrity.
Make Your Own Luck
There is a wide gulf between empty bravado and genuine charisma. An untrained eye might conflate the two, but make no mistake, you can’t fake energy.
Your first task on the road to winning regardless is to start cultivating your energy.
Maintain a positive state of mind at all times1
Invest heavily in your diet
Get plenty of rest
Practice gratitude, make it a part of your core personality
Breath control (pranayama, box breathing)
Awareness expansion exercises (visualization, mindfulness)
Those who know how luck works are no stranger to these points. For most, a healthy combination of gratitude, mindfulness, and positivity is enough to shift away from a state of lack and toward a state of abundance.
As you grow in your awareness of your own energy and how it moves, you will be compelled to go further down the esoteric rabbit hole and take on more sophisticated and refined practices.
Win / Win
Discard the Lose / Win mindset.
Everything you do from here on out is Win / Win.
Why would you position your Self so that one of your only two choices is an L?
Realistically, you should see any situation as a lovely gradient of wins.
Win / Win / Win / Win / Win / Win
Some wins are more delectable than others, but a win’s a win.
Stop pre-programming losses into your life.2 You deserve more.
Winning is an Art Form
Anyone who wins on a consistent basis can tell you as much.
It’s not enough to just ride the waves, you want to get to a point where you are creating them. Through diligent training and self-awareness, you transition from a mere sailor to a veritable Poseidon, master of tides.
Winning consistently requires a knack for expert positioning.
You want to win even if you lose.
Tough situations are inevitable and even if you are adept at enacting your will, there are likely dozens of life variables in your immediate orbit and it is impossible to plan for every contingency - and why would you.
Thus the goal is to use your force of will to position your Self so meticulously, and so strongly, that even if things don’t go quite as you plan in any given situation, you fall up.
Some would consider this a kind of grace open those who follow a certain path, a spiritual hyperaware state of being. Plot armor if you will.3
The better you get at conducting your energy, the more opportunities for success and abundance will seemingly fall into your lap. It has been well over a decade since I’ve questioned any setback or loss. Without fail, every single time something “wrong” happens, it only leads me to greater things. Sometimes within the span of days or even hours. The threads tying these events together are always plainly obvious after the fact.
Luck? I don’t believe in it.
You win consistently by first practicing radical gratitude for everyone and everything around you. This opens your mind to the abundance of things and true nature of how energy moves and flows through you.
Then comes the humility. At this stage you may want to flaunt your newfound awareness and spurts of luck or other insights that alight into your mind. This urge you must process and let go of. In all things stay humble, otherwise you may be given incomprehensible challenges just to see if your abilities are up to the test.
Finally, you will gain great awareness over your surroundings, and of Self.
This awareness opens doors. It charms people and draws them into your aura. It allows you to see patterns where others see only gibberish. The art of winning involves using this ethereal data to better your life and those around you.
Winners are forceful, insightful, demanding. They know what they want and won’t let happenstance or the whims of others stop them. However they do not pursue what they want recklessly or without empathy. In fact, winners do what they do with the utmost compassion, because they understand that the better they are, the more everyone around them will benefit.
Understand that the best among us strive to be great not for their own sake but for the sake of those they love. It is a selfless thing to become a charismatic dynamo of positive energy and influence. That confidence they radiate is like a balm, an umbrella many would take shelter under.
If you position your Self in such a way that you win regardless, others will surely benefit simply by being around you. This has somewhat of a snowball effect, as people fall in love with the way you make them feel and the insight you introduce into their life, which only leads to more opportunities and open doors.
Luck is of your own making. You simply have to be forceful enough to want it.
A final thought.
Discard the “why is this happening to me” mentality, or any permutation of it.
Just assume everything you encounter in life is either a blessing or a lesson and proceed from there. Hold no resentment or judgment. Winners don’t think on these terms.
You are a winner, right anon?

Positivity does not mean “faking a positive mood.” As soon as you make the active choice to be positive, you are positive. You can feel the energy within you shift. Your mind becomes clearer and the weight that you are carrying fades away. Keeping in mind that everything is energy and that your mindset can and does influence your state of being, you can dramatically change how your life plays out by making the conscious choice to conduct your Self in a positive manner. There are no cosmic brownie points for being negative, you are only destroying your Self. Knock that nonsense off.
What you expect, you invite. The laws of hermetics cannot be circumvented.
It’s easy to spot someone with a loser mentality because they can never relate to main characters in cinema. “Look how lucky he is, that would never happen in real life.” Correction, that would never happen to you, is what you are saying. Miraculous and coincidental things happen to me on a near daily basis, and any winner would admit the same. You too can partake of these moments of splendor and serendipity simply by taking the initiative in your life as a Creator and defining your space on your terms.
