Years ago, I wrote a novel called “Ai.” It was a story about two otherwise ordinary individuals whose lives intersect across dimensions.
The message of this story was one of self-exploration. The idea that if we became aware of greater parts of ourselves, that we would come to see the world in a different way.
Due to a series of interesting circumstances largely out of my control, I lost that novel. I suppose it’s not technically lost forever - it exists on a single floppy disk and is in the possession of a mentor I lost contact with well over a decade ago - but for all intents and purposes it is gone.
Long after I lost possession of “Ai,” the story lingered in my mind. I wanted to retell it on a grander scale, introducing the same concept to a wider cast of characters dealing with a more significant set of problems.
This story, known tentatively as Ajyaetha, was shaping up to be an epic. However, certain details of the story never materialized for me. When it comes to writing, I never try and force anything. I rely on intuition and flow to shape my plots and characters.
For me, the writing process is sacred, meditative. If there are areas of a story that aren’t materializing, I simply let them be.1
Life took me away from working on Ajyaetha, but an uncanny series of events have brought me back.
I’m reminded of the interconnectedness of all things and how life becomes exceptionally surreal when you maintain a high vibration.
What is Synchronicity Really?
When random, seemingly unrelated events line up in uncanny ways, we refer to them as synchronicities. Intuitively, we understand these strange coincidences are not mundane. There is something deeper going on behind the scenes, although materialists would argue otherwise.
Why do spiritual individuals care so much about synchronicities? There are several reasons. From an outsider’s perspective, it might seem weird to dwell on the idea of random events lining up in interesting ways, however it is in these spiritual coincidences that the nature of reality is revealed for what it is.
Synchronicities pierce the veil. They are considered “signs” in the occult, because they tend to reveal so much about how this reality works and why things, no matter how mundane in appearance, are often more than what they seem.
While there are innumerable nuances to consider when trying to figure out exactly why a particular synchronicity occurs, most of them fall into one of three broad categories:
Energy we have projected, that is in the process of manifesting an outcome, will inevitably create “breadcrumbs” along the way, leading up to the full manifestation. Recognizing these breadcrumbs creates a feeling of uncanny familiarity because we are essentially meeting up with our own energy and subconsciously confirming or reliving a reality we already knew would come to pass or already felt to be experienced.
Certain thought paths or life paths have an energy signature, and if you fully align with this energy signature, you will see evidence of it manifesting around you (naturally, because your reality is reflecting the energy signature). This includes uncanny numerological signs such as angel numbers.2 Seeing these numbers acts as a confirmation that you are following a certain path.
People, objects, or events that we are required to interface with based on our current destiny, are often “pre-manifested” or fated to appear to us at certain times. Recognition of these preordained events feels uncanny because we have a primal understanding or awareness of the fact that we were always destined to have the experience. These experiences are often necessary for us to evolve, too, making them all the more significant.
True synchronicities, as most self-aware people understand them, tend to fall into the second bucket. The most common spiritual coincidences tend to be uncanny confirmations that we are aligning with certain energies, and therefore we begin to see evidence of this around us.
In all instances, self-awareness or a degree of actualization is required in order to spot synchronicities. Those who do not have these experiences lack the autonomy to spot how their energy affects the world around them.
Technically speaking, synchronicities happen to everyone all the time, regardless of their degree of spiritual awareness. There are also negative synchronicities or signs that one is aligned with negative energies, but it takes a bit of self-reflection to recognize them for what they are in order to pivot to a higher vibration.
One of the most fascinating forms of spiritual coincidence is when we plant the seeds of the future and then experience those manifestations in ways that intersect with our destiny. If you observe the three buckets above, you will notice that there is a lot of room for crossover, and this is often how manifestation and coincidence works.
For instance, following a certain path because we are being drawn toward a certain person we are destined to meet. These layered synchronicities may manifest as difficult experiences in the physical world, where we are met with tough choices that could alter our life path. Many fail to make the right choice and then wind up not having the fated encounter - this can create a sense of loss for something you never had, a kind of spiritual longing that nags us until it is rectified.
The Story is the Seed
Ajyaetha is for me a perfect example of synchronicity, and also an important lesson in spiritual growth.
It takes a certain level of consciousness to be able to recognize what is right in front of your face.
This phenomena is universal, and is one important reason why we must be patient with ourselves as we evolve spiritually. You can literally hand someone the wisdom of the ages, all the solutions to their own problems, but in order to see and comprehend this wisdom, there has to be awareness.
For me, my creative work is intimately tied to my spiritual path. Everything I work on from a creative standpoint is designed to help others, in some form or another. Therefore my creative output closely mirrors my spiritual acumen. As I grow, so does my work.
Ajyaetha was for me a sign that I am going in the right direction and that everything is coming together in an uncanny and magical way.
The story involves a place of legend known as Ajyaetha. The name means “abundance,” or quite literally, “land of unlimited possibilities.” In an age of disharmony and decay, the idea of such a place is impossible to believe. It is the stuff of folklore, nothing more.
Jegeir, and neighboring splinter kingdoms Vjelnes and Areqcuel, were to unify in a last ditch effort to stave off regional in-fighting and the eventual disintegration of a once-mighty empire. The unification efforts go awry and thus begins a winding tale involving our world, a cross-dimensional bounty hunter, and an impending war.
In the middle of all this, the idea of Ajyaetha, a legendary land of bounty and opportunity, never fades from the minds of the main protagonist. She heard this idea as a child and it fuels her to push through the increasingly chaotic events transpiring around her.
While the complex politics and interdimensional shenanigans flowed forth easily enough, I was hung up on one particular and very pivitol part of the story. Despite me having defined the meaning of Ajyaetha long ago, and having a clear picture of how I wanted the story to end, the path was foggy.
Therein lies the lesson. Only recently, within the last 3 years or so, have I fully come to terms with the fact that we manifest what we embody.
Manifestation, or living in alignment, isn’t wishful thinking. It is not an act of hoping and praying with hollow words in order to “magnetize” good things into our lives. That’s not at all how it works and those who think on this level will often find that their efforts go unheard or unfulfilled.
In truth, what we magnetize into our lives is only ever a reflection of who we are. We must resonate at a certain level, a certain vibration, in order to bring about what we want on the physical plane.
I did not understand this when I originally wrote the framework for Ajyaetha. I was manifesting on a regular basis and living in an increasingly vibrant world thanks to my self-reflection, but I did not yet grasp the full depth of how the law of attraction works. Its fundamental mechanics, if you will.
So back then, it was impossible for me to come to the right conclusion regarding the story and message of Ajyaetha. The idea was for the protagonist to help rediscover or recreate Ajyaetha, but that was not possible because I myself did not understand exactly what Ajyaetha was.
If this legendary land stood for abundance and infinite possibilities, it was not something that could be manifested in a mundane way. It had to be embodied.
Not dropping any spoilers but needless to say the story is now completely mapped in my mind, and as with every other tale I’ve ever written, it all connects perfectly. It’s uncanny. The story seemingly existed before I “wrote” it.
As always, I’m just the vessel.
Watch For The Signs
I wanted to delve into this topic because I often see people struggle with their own paths. They are going in a positive direction but still feel somewhat lost, not 100% sure if they are doing the right thing or following their destiny.
Read the signs. Watch for the synchronicities. I can’t stress this enough.
This physical world is one big mirror, constantly reflecting back to us that which we are, and what we need to see in order to confirm whether or not we are walking the correct Path.
Through the ages, there is a reason why so many occultists and mystics talk of “signs.” The clouds, the stars, even the way dice falls or the lines that form in the palm of our hands.3 Everything physical exists as a set of numerological codes that are a manifestation of thought energy. Much of this energy is literally directly connected to you, the observer.
Therefore much of what we see and experience is a reflection of who we are and where we are going. When you spot strange coincidences and surreal events, pay very close attention to them. Let them pierce your consciousness, allow their meaning to arise in your mind.
Pray for signs. Pray for their meaning to be revealed to you. This may seem like deep spiritual practice but in reality it’s the bare minimum. If you want to evolve and understand this life you’re leading, it’s so important to tap into the meaning of what’s being shown to you.
Simple coincidences can reveal deep truths.
As one might imagine, I’m sitting on more than a few unfinished books.
The nature of the physical world is mathematical at its heart, so coincidences and signs will often manifest as numeric codes.
You might be shocked to learn that for many spiritual practitioners, the reading of signs and portents is the only “psychic” skill worth developing. This is because it is so incredibly powerful and revealing. Simply by learning how to connect mathematical figures, natural shapes, and patterns to physical events, you can quite literally predict the future and understand where you will end up based on your current energy.
